The perfume created by Paloma Picasso - the daughter of the famous painter. This a fragrant self-portrait. Her maternal grandfather was a perfumer, so, as a child, she was familiar with combining smells, creating scents. Her artistic talent is something she inherited from her father, therefore she was very successful in her work as a jewelry designer for Yves Saint Laurent and Tiffany & Co. Her favorite perfume is Chanel Nº 5, so she wanted to create a perfume with an aldehydic accord. Red is her favorite color and black is a symbol of power.
The famed jewelry designer and youngest daughter of famed artists, Paloma Picasso is a gem among the Tiffany lights and costumed stages of Paris. Meaning “dove” in Spanish, Paloma was named in honor of the Parisian International Peace Conference symbol designed by her famed father. Her grandfather, Emile Gilot, was a chemist and perfume manufacturer. She launched Paloma Picasso in the 1980s, creating fashions and perfumes—like rose chypre Paloma Picasso Mon Perfum—and unveiling Mon Rouge, her exclusive true-red lipstick. The diversely-talented designer Paloma also starred in 1974’s praised movie, Immoral Tales.
